Privacy Policy

1. Data Minimization

NightWatch is built around a principle of minimal data collection. We collect only what is necessary to operate the service and do not require you to share personal information such as your legal name, physical address, or government identifiers to use core features.

2. What We Collect

• Account email — If you sign in with email, we store it to run your account.
• Wallet address — If you sign in with a wallet, we store your public address. We never have your private keys.
• API keys — Stored as hashes only.
• Server logs — Requests and errors, including IP address, kept to limit abuse and keep the service reliable.
• Contributions — Metadata you submit (for example Cherry mining discoveries) becomes part of the public knowledge base.

3. How We Use Data

We use data to run, secure, and improve the service. We do not sell your personal data.

4. Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 for page and event statistics. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

We use Microsoft Clarity, which records sessions (clicks, scrolls, page views) to show us where the site is hard to use. See the Microsoft Clarity terms and the Microsoft Privacy Statement. Blocking or clearing cookies stops Clarity.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

• Analytics cookies from Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity.
• Our own session and authentication cookies, and browser local storage for your sign-in token and preferences.
• Advertising partners may set cookies to serve and measure ads.

Clearing your browser storage signs you out and removes these local values.

6. Third Parties

We rely on infrastructure providers to host the service and on public blockchain and exchange data sources. On-chain activity is public by nature. If you sign in with Google or Telegram, or use the Coinbase CDP embedded wallet, that provider receives the data needed to complete the sign-in or wallet action. We do not share your account data with advertisers.

7. Retention

• Server logs: kept for abuse prevention and security, and deleted on request.
• Account data: until you ask us to delete it.

9. Children

NightWatch is not directed at anyone under 18.
